  Physics Tip

Viscosity
The property of a liquid that makes it resist flow or any change in the arrangement of its molecules. The higher the viscosity, the "thicker" a liquid seems.

  Physics Quote

It is impossible to trap modern physics into predicting anything with perfect determinism because it deals with probabilities from the outset.
    Sir Arthur Eddington (1882 - 1944)

Impulse

As you already know a force is something which tends to cause a change in motion.  When Isaac Newton worked with these concepts he understood that it was not just the amount of force which would cause a change in motion, but also the time for which it was applied.

It was reasonable to expect that the longer the force was applied to the object the more change in motion it would invoke.  He called the combination of force and time impulse.

Impulse is easy to calculate.  It is simply the product of force and time.
The unit for impulse is the Ns.  (newton second)

I = F DT

EX.   What is the impulse when you apply q 15 N force to a box for a time of 0.5 s?

I = F DT = 15 N x 0.5 s = 7.5 Ns

Impulse can be calculated for an individual applied force as well as for the total force.

It's good for the 10th standard students. i think you can make it more effective by adding some problems and shor questions.
